Fauji Cement Company Ltd (FCCL) has announced plans to set up a greenfield project. The Pakistan-based company currently operates a 3.43Mta cement plant in Jhang Bahtar, Attock District.

Fauji Cement achieved 85 per cent capacity utilisation in the first quarter of FY2017-18, an increase from 72 per cent recorded in the year-ago period. The company also reported a rise in local dispatches in the same period, to 642,166t from 556,710t of the corresponding quarter the previous year. Export dispatches reached 87,048t for the 1Q of FY2017-18, from 61,884t of the 1Q of the previous financial year.
