Northern players increase price by PKR10

Pakistan cement industry players in the northern region are cautiously optimistic. The cement industry has seen bullish activity at the Pakistan Stock Exchange for the last two days on the back of news, which has been attributed to leading brokerage houses, that north-based cement producers have raised prices of cement by PKR10/bag (US$0.082), effective 18 July 2018.

No further details were given to justify the increase. The northern zone represents around 80 per cent of the total production capacity and sales in Pakistan.
