Production at Kazakh cement plants rose 11.5 per cent YoY to 4.634Mt of cement in the first half of 2018.  In 2017 domestic output reached 4.156Mt, up 1.5 per cent  from 4.094Mt in 2016.

Earlier this week, Vicat reported positive results for its Jambyl Cement subsidiary, where turnover rose by 21.4 per cent and EBITDA by 45.4 per cent on the back of a 28 per cent rise in cement volumes. The company reported good domestic volumes as well as strong export sales.
