Bangladesh government has set an export target of US$14m for cement industry for the financial year 2018-19 (June-July) against US$12.59m from last fiscal year. The target is based on an expected growth of 11.20 per cent.
According to Bangladesh Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), Bangladesh's cement industry earned export revenues of US$1.09 during July 2018 compared to US$1.04m earned in the year-ago corresponding month. This equates to a 4.81 per cent increase in exports YoY. The export figure also includes a minor amount of salt, stone and related products.
Presently cement is reportedly being exported to India, Myanmar, Nepal, Maldives and Sri Lanka.
