Colombia’s cement market expands 3% in August

National dispatches were up 2.7 per cent YoY to 1.061Mt in August 2018, according to DANE, the country’s statistics office. In August 2017, domestic deliveries reached 1.033Mt.

Cement production in August 2018 increased 5.3 per cent YoY to 1.089Mt from 1.035Mt in August 2017.

In the January-August 2018 period fell 1.3 per cent to 7.858Mt when compared with the year-ago period.

Output from Colombia’s cement plants in the first eight months of the year slipped by 0.9 per cent YoY to 8.072Mt.
