Cem’In’Eu has awarded the contract for a 0.25Mta grinding plant at Portes les Valence, Drôme, France, to Fives FCB.

The order includes an FCB-B ball mill with a capacity of 34tph, which will operate in closed circuit with an FCB TSV high-efficiency dynamic separator. In addition, Fives FCB will supply clinker, limestone and gypsum hoppers and loading systems.

"This contract is the basis of a genuine partnership between Cem'In'Eu and Fives FCB which will involve the supply of other production units in France and Europe," said Vincent Lefebvre, president of Cem'In'Eu.

The contract award marks a new phase in the development plan of the France-based cement producer after the opening in 2018 of its first site, Aliénor, in Tonneins, Lot et Garonne.

The new works reflects an investment of EUR24m and is expected to open in the 2H20.
