Cement production in Iran increased 5.7 per cent YoY in the first nine months of the current Iranian calendar year (21 March-21 December 2022), according to data released by the Industry, Mining and Trade Ministry.

Total output during the nine-month period reached 33.943Mt, up from 32.109Mt in the equivalent period of the previous year.

In 2021 the country produced 63Mt of cement, of which it exported 14.4Mt.
