A new IKN clinker cooler was successfully commissioned at Ciments du Sahel’s Kirene plant near Dakar, Senegal, end of January and met all customer’s expectations on mechanical and performance issues.

A single grate cooler, equipped with a four rolls roll crusher at the cold end is designed for production of 6000tpd of clinker. IKN’s process engineer was on site to supervise the start-up of the cooler and perform training sessions on cooler operation. Upon his departure, all cooler components were found working well in good performance.
