Sacopor, part of Cimpor, is investing EUR11.5m in a new bag production line. The new line will increase the company's annual bag output from 130m to 160m.
The new bag line was inaugurated on 6 June 2024 at the company's Alenquer plant and operating in Portugal for the last three decades, the latest line is the fourth at the facility, according to Noticias Financieras. Its output is supplied to the cement and mortar industry.
Amaro Freire, director of Sacopor, says that "The new production line allows us to enter new business areas due to its versatility and increased printing quality. Included in this investment were two new state-of-the-art six-coulor in-line printers, unique in Portugal".
