India based Dalmia Cement (Bharat) has commenced commercial production at its Banjari cement plant in Rohtas district, Bihar, northern India. The start-up was the final step in expanding the grinding plants’s capacity by 0.5Mta to 1.6Mta. 

Following the commissioning, Dalmia Cement (Bharat)’s total cement capacity stands at 49.5Mta.
