In February 2025 Italian cement production slipped by three per cent YoY, following an eight per cent YoY drop in the previous month, according to the data from Italian concrete association, Federbeton. The price index, with baseline 2021, remained stable at 163. Construction production expanded by six per cent YoY in February.
External trade
Cement exports declined three per cent YoY to 97,684t in January, with a total FOB value of EUR9.878m, which saw a significant uptick in terms of FOB values per tonne to EUR101 from EUR93/t in December.
Cement imports increased by three per cent to 203,485t in January, with a total CIF value of EUR16.892m or EUR83/t, slightly lower than the previous month.
