Senegal’s producers benefit from export surge and domestic market growth

Cement sales in Senegal were up 4.6 per cent YoY to 727,900t in January 2026 from 695,800t in January 2025, according to  data from the country’s Ministry of Planned Economy and Co-operation.

Domestic production increased 11.7 per cent YoY to 916,700t in January 2026 from 820,900t in the year-ago period. 

Exports surged 85.3 per cent YoY to 275,200t from 148,500t over the same period.
