Cement demand in Argentina saw a 1.2 per cent decline to 800,497t in June 2026 from 809,840t in June 2025, according to the country’s cement association, AFCP. Of this total, 195t was imported, up 32.7 per cent YoY from 147,000t in June 2025. 

Output by domestic producers fell 1.4 per cent YoY to 803,147t in June 2026 from 814,944t. 

Exports saw a 45.8 per cent decline to 2846t from 5250t in June 2025.

First half of 2026
In the January-June 2026 period, Argentinian cement demand declined by 2.6 per cent YoY to 4,648,805t from 4,772,141t. In addition to domestic supply, there were 784t of imports, representing a 20.6 per cent decrease YoY from 988t. 

Production from local cement plants fell three per cent YoY to 4,670,571t from 4,813,474t in the 6M25. This includes 22,550t that were exported – representing a 46.7 per cent drop when compared with the 42,321t exported in the January-June 2025 period.
