Cement consumption in Argentina declined 8.1 per cent to 815,974t in July 2026 when compared with 887,586t in July 2025, according to the country’s cement association, AFCP. However, when compared with June, they edged up 0.7 per cent. Supply to the market included 190t of imports, down from 312t in July 2025.
In July 2026 domestic producers dispatched 817,528t, down 8.2 per cent YoY from 890,776t. Of this total, 1744t were exports, which fell by 50.2 per cent YoY from 3502t in July 2025.
January-July 2026
In the first seven months of 2026, Argentina’s cement market contracted by 3.3 per cent to 5,474,633t from 5,659,727t in the 7M25. A total of 974t of cement were imported, down 25 per cent YoY from 1299t.
Cement producers in the country delivered 5,497,952t of cement, representing a 3.6 per cent YoY decline when compared with the January-July 2025 period in which 5,704,250t were supplied. This includes 24,294t of exports, a 47 per cent drop when compared with 45,823t exported in the year-ago period.
