Southern Province Cement Co (SPCC) reported a net profit of SAR24m (US$6.4m) in the second quarter of 2026, supported by higher sales volumes and lower costs.
Quarterly revenue reached SAR201m (US$53.6m). The company attributed the improved performance to increased sales volumes, alongside reductions in cost of sales and general and administrative expenses.
The result represents a significant sequential improvement after SPCC recorded a net loss of SAR4.1m in 1Q26 on revenue of SAR202.7m. The first-quarter loss had been attributed to lower domestic sales volumes, higher unit production costs and reduced production-line utilisation.
Southern Province Cement is currently developing new production lines at its Jazan cement plant.
