Omya has partnered with Lafarge to support the development of low-carbon cement and concrete solutions in France.
Effective from 1 October 2026, the collaboration will combine Omya's technical expertise and local production capabilities with Lafarge's cement and concrete activities.
Omya is a global producer of industrial minerals and distributor of speciality materials, with calcium carbonate forming a major part of its portfolio. In construction, the company supplies ground calcium carbonate, calcined clay and other mineral admixtures and additives for cement and concrete applications.
The companies said the partnership aims to help customers optimise product performance while reducing their environmental impact.
