Ras Al-Khaimah Cement Co (RAKCC) has awarded Sinoma Energy Conservation International Investment Co an EPC contract for two cement silos and associated conveying systems at its Khor Khwair white cement plant in the UAE.
The contract, awarded on 1 September 2026, includes engineering, procurement and construction, with each conveying system designed for a capacity of 1500tpd. The contract value and project completion schedule have not been disclosed.
RAKCC's plant has a production capacity of 0.96Mta of clinker and 1Mta of cement and is connected to the adjacent Saqr Port. The company currently operates two 10,000t cement silos serving its export facilities.
The award extends RAKCC's relationship with Sinoma, which commissioned a waste-heat recovery power plant at the works in 2016 and has subsequently provided maintenance and spare-parts services.
