Cement dispatches in Vietnam increased by 11 per cent YoY to 7.311Mt in July 2026, according to the Vietnam National Cement Association (VNCA). Of this total, VICEM delivered 2.163Mt, up 25 per cent YoY, while other VNCA members saw a nine per cent YoY increase to 1.328Mt. Non-members reported a five per cent YoY increase to 3.820Mt.

Export volumes increased five per cent to 3.144Mt, with clinker exports up 33 per cent YoY to 1.329Mt, while cement exports decreased nine per cent YoY to 1.815Mt. VICEM members reported a strong decrease in both clinker and cement exports to 19,214t and 104,507t, respectively. Other VNCA members reported no clinker exports in July and cement exports of 248,380t, up one per cent YoY. Clinker exports by non-members increased 43 per cent YoY to 1.309Mt, while cement exports decreased eight per cent YoY to 1.462Mt.

January-July 2026
In January-July 2026, cement dispatches in Vietnam rose 12 per cent YoY to 47.697Mt. VICEM saw a 15 per cent YoY rise in domestic sales to 13.632Mt, while other VNCA members reported a 10.5 per cent YoY increase to 8.392Mt. Domestic dispatches by non-members rose 11.3 per cent YoY to 25.673Mt.

Total exports increased by 14 per cent YoY to 22.717Mt in the first seven months of the year, with clinker exports up 12 per cent YoY to 8.724Mt and cement exports up 15 per cent YoY to 13.993Mt. During the period, VICEM’s clinker exports amounted to 425,016t and cement exports to 777,612t. Other VNCA member reported clinker exports of 66,000t and cement exports of 1.796t. Non-members recorded 8.233Mt of clinker exports and 11.419Mt of cement exports. 

The USA (~4.35Mt), Singapore (~1.5Mt) and the Philippines (~1.49Mt) were the key cement export destinations in 7M26. Other destinations included Malaysia, South Africa, Australia and France. Cote d’Ivoire (~3.1Mt) and Bangladesh (~2Mt) were the main clinker destinations. Other destinations included Malaysia, Guinea, Cameroon and Ghana.
