Pakistan’s Attock Cement has approved the installation of a 20MWh battery energy storage system and 5MW of dedicated solar generation at its plant.
According to reporting citing a Pakistan Stock Exchange disclosure dated 30 September, the board approved the project through a resolution by circulation.
The installation is intended to reduce reliance on grid electricity during peak periods and increase renewable-power use. Battery storage will support the company’s efforts to manage electricity costs alongside the additional solar capacity.
