Oriana Power awarded INR1.55bn solar plant order

Oriana Power received a new order for a 40MWp solar plant in Rajasthan, India. The INR1.55bn (US$18.5m) contract was awarded by an undisclosed cement producer and includes the engineering, procurement and construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance of the solar plant. The order is scheduled to complete its execution in nine months' time. The operation and maintenance period is 25 years from the commissioning date.

Shree Cement achieves 1GW renewable energy capacity

India-based Shree Cement Ltd has reached 1GW of renewable energy capacity following the commissioning of the company’s 19.5MW solar power plant at factory in Andhra Pradesh. The milestone includes solar, wind, thermal and waste heat recovery power plants. Argos Honduras has set a new record in clinker production in 2023, increasing clinker output by three per cent. Cementos Argos inaugurates solar park in Honduras

Cementos Argos has opened its new solar park at its Choloma unit in Río Blanquito, Honduras. The facility is the second-largest in the Honduran cement industry. The company has invested US$1.2m in the new energy facility, which consists of 2100 photovoltaic modules. Holcim El Salvador awarded the contract for the construction of a solar park to AES El Salvador. The solar power facility would be built at its El Ronco cement plant in Metapan in the second half of 2022.
