Holcim has incorporated its Predict Au artificial intelligence system into its Boots on Ground workforce engagement platform to help identify sites requiring safety intervention.

The system analyses more than 1500 data points each month across over 3000 sites in 45 countries. Indicators include leadership presence in the field, incident history, coaching frequency, hazard trends and the speed at which corrective actions are completed.

Holcim says the model has flagged sites five to ten months before serious incidents occurred. Alerts prompt support from health, safety and environment professionals, with site leaders responsible for developing action plans. The system assesses sites rather than individuals and supports decisions made by personnel.

The company has also introduced a site-level “Fitness Score”, combining conventional safety indicators with AI-generated risk signals to identify underperforming locations. An expanded version of the predictive system is under development.
