China’s Jianfeng Group has ignited a new 4000tpd clinker line at its subsidiary Yunnan Jianfeng Dazhan Cement, marking the start of integrated commissioning.

The line, located in Mengla County, Yunnan Province, was ignited on 11 October following substantial completion of construction. The project represents approximately CNY997m (US$149m) of investment and replaces older production capacity under China’s capacity-reduction requirements.

Jianfeng said the project incorporates ultra-low emissions standards and is intended to strengthen the competitiveness of its building materials business.

The company cautioned that commercial production will require further time following commissioning, while operating returns will depend on market demand, raw material prices and wider economic conditions.
