Shree Cement has commissioned a 3Mta cement grinding facility at its Union Cement subsidiary in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, following an investment of AED115m (US$31.3m).

The addition increases Union Cement’s capacity from 4Mta to 7Mta and takes Shree Cement’s total group cement capacity to 76.3Mta.

The installation includes a Gebr. Pfeiffer MVR 6000 vertical roller mill, designed to support efficient grinding and lower specific energy consumption.

The commissioning completes an expansion previously announced by Shree Cement and strengthens the Indian producer’s manufacturing presence in the UAE.
