Siam City Cement (Bangladesh) Ltd, trading as INSEE Cement, has introduced Ultima Portland composite cement to the Bangladesh market at a launch event in Dhaka on 10 October.
According to the company, the product combines raw materials sourced from Thailand with European manufacturing technology and is intended for building and infrastructure applications.
The launch at Fortis Downtown Resort included a technical discussion involving specialists from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology and INSEE. Topics included strength development, water-to-cement ratios, concrete placement and curing, alongside the contribution of durable construction to extending building service life.
The announcement gave no details about the cement’s strength class, detailed composition or quantified performance results.
