Holcim has completed the acquisition of France-based Cem’In’Eu Group, adding two regional cement grinding plants with combined capacity of approximately 0.48Mta. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Established as an industrial start-up in 2015, Cem’In’Eu sought to challenge the traditional integrated cement model through smaller, modular grinding plants located close to regional markets. Imported clinker and other raw materials are received at the company’s Cem’In’Log facility at the port of Sète before being transported principally by rail to its plants.

The acquisition includes Aliénor Ciments at Tonneins, which began production in 2018, and Rhône Ciments at Portes-lès-Valence, operational since 2021. Each plant has capacity of approximately 0.24Mta. Cem’In’Eu sold almost 0.48Mt of cement in 2025, when both sites reportedly operated at full capacity.

The company’s production model uses clinker delivered by sea to its Cem’In’Log facility at the port of Sète. Raw materials are then transported principally by rail to grinding plants located close to their regional markets.

Pergam Industry, managed by investment company Pergam, previously held more than 90 per cent of Cem’In’Eu. Holcim confirmed the completed acquisition in its 3Q26 results.
