Shortlist of candidates for CIMA sale

Seven companies have been identified as potential purchasers of Cement Industries of Malaysia Bhd (CIMA), part of the UEM Group Bhd. According to The Edge Malaysia, of the seven shortlisted candidates, at least three are believed to be foreign - one from Germany, another from the Philippines and one from China. FCT Combustion wins Ash Grove burner project and other cement orders

FCT Combustion has won a contract to convert both kilns at Ash Grove Cement's Louisville plant, NE, USA to natural gas firing. The supply will include Gyro-Therm™ MKII burners, natural valve trains for both kilns and NFPA 86 BMS for both kilns.

CIMA launches alternative fuels system, Malaysia

Cement Industries of Malaysia (CIMA) has installed an alternative fuels combustion system from Japan’s Taiheiyo Engineering Corp (TEC) to enable it to use tyres and biomass as a fuel source.
