Chettinad Cement receives clearance for Odisha grinding plant

Chettinad Cement Corp has received approval from the Odisha’s State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) to establish a grinding plant.   The project will have a capacity of 2Mta and is to be located at Kalinga Nagar Industrial Complex.   The Government of Odisha has been actively trying to create a conducive business environment to encourage companies across the country to set up or expand their business in the eastern Indian state.    

New plants in the pipeline for Andhra Pradesh

Three Indian companies have proposed to set up new plants in the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, Business Standard (India) reports. According to the state government, Chettinad Cement Corp plans to set up a grinding unit and cement plant in Vizag and Guntur districts, respectively, with start-up scheduled for March 2019. Chettinad Cement Corp moves on expansion

India’s Chettinad Cement Corp has received all the required permits for its greenfield project in Andhra Pradesh and expansion in Karnataka. In Andhra Pradesh, the company is building a 3.5Mta integrated cement works at Guntur, reflecting an investment of INR11bn (US$181m). Chettinad Cement has acquired a 405ha plot for the unit.
