Cement dealers and property developers in Rwanda's capital, Kigali, have called on Cimerwa to cut its prices, Rwanda Focus reports. Rwanda: PPC revenues boosted by Cimerwa

Cimerwa Ltd’s contribution to Pretoria Portland Cement’s (PPC) revenues helped cushion the company’s turnover in the six months ending 31 March 2016. Busisiwe Legodi, Cimerwa's chief executive officer, has reaffirmed her company’s commitment to developing export markets in neighbouring Burundi and eastern DR Congo. PPC Ltd: change to the Board Of Directors

Dr Daniel Ufitikirezi has resigned as a director of PPC with effect from 22 September 2015. This follows his resignation as the chairman of the board of Cimerwa, PPC's subsidiary in Rwanda, after his replacement as the representative of the Rwanda Social Security Board on that board. Dr Ufitikirezi was appointed to the PPC board in January 2015.

South Africa's largest cement producer, PPC, reported a two per cent rise in cement sales for the full year to the end of September 2014, as growth in some of its sub-Saharan markets was offset by challenging operating conditions at home.
