Ukraine sees production rise 15% YoY in 9M21

Cement production in Ukraine increased 15.2 per cent YoY in the first nine months of 2021, according to Ukrcement. The association also expects the country to consume more than 10Mt in the full-year for the first time since 2014. Fives Pillard is installing a raw material-drying hot gas generator for a cement plant in eastern Europe.   The 75MW hot gas generator will operate with air at 250°C. Gasmet has supplied its continuous mercury monitoring (CMM) system to Holcim Croatia (Holcim group) to monitor mercury emissions and maintain higher levels of plant operation safety. Steppe Cement reports 16% revenue increase

Kazakhstan’s Steppe Cement has recorded an 8.5 per cent YoY rise in revenue to KZT12.05bn (US$28.33m) in the third quarter of 2021, compared to KZT11.11bn in the year-ago period. The company also saw sales volume for the period fall four per cent YoY to 535,200t. In the first nine months of 2021, revenue advanced 16 per cent to KZT28.81bn while sales volumes climbed four per cent to 1,375,464t.
