FLSmidth and its affiliated companies have signed a number of contracts with Dangote Cement PLC for operation and maintenance of certain production lines at their cement plants in Nigeria for a period of five years. FLSmidth confirms Qatari project talks, contract to be finalised

Following reports in Qatari media stating that FLSmidth has entered into an agreement with Qatari Investors Group for supply of equipment and machinery for a cement plant in Qatar, the Danish equipment supplier has confirmed negotiations are currently taking place. However, in a statement released yesterday, FLSmidth said that the order is yet to be confirmed:  "If and when a contract is finalised and becomes binding, we shall immediately inform the market," the release said.  

FLSmidth to supply new Oman Cement mill

Oman Cement Company has decided to award the contract for supply and installation of a new cement mill with capacity of 150tph to FLSmidth Pvt Ltd. The company has issued Letter of Intent in this regard and the detailed contract will be finalised soon. Danish turnkey supplier FLSmidth announced that its 1H13 order book has slipped, while revenues are also down. The company said : "Cement earnings were significantly below last year as expected. Order intake decreased 30 per cent, but revenue increased 37 per cent, whereas EBITA decreased 37 per cent." FLSmidth has received orders from two Brazilian cement producers, comprising a new 3300tpd line and a OK-33 vertical roller mill. The new kiln line is for Companhia De Cimento Da Paraíba's Pitimbu Plant, in Brazil’s Paraiba state.  FLSmidth will supply all major equipment, engineering services, project management and commissioning of the greenfield project. FLSmidth orders up 15% while EBITDA rises 9% in 2012

In its newly-released 2012 annual report, Denmark-based cement plant maker FLSmidth & Co A/S announced a 15 per cent increase in its order intake, bringing the figure to DKK27.727bn (US$4.98bn) in 2012. Its revenues increased by over a fifth from DKK27.136bn to DKK29.451bn. FLSmidth secures EIB funding for R&D investments

FLSmidth has signed an EUR125m loan agreement with the European Investment Bank (EIB).   The five-year-bullet loan will finance FLSmidth's global research and development programme within the cement industry during the period 2013-2016.
