PT Holcim Indonesia recorded a 15 per cent rise in net profit driven by increased sales. Net income rose to IDR514.4bn (US$54m) in the first six months of this year from IDR447.7m in the same period of last year. Holcim Indonesia plans to distribute IDR425bn (US$46m) in dividends, or the equivalent of 40 per cent of its 2011 net income, its chief executive has said. Holcim Indonesia, the country’s third largest cement producer, says its new plant in Tuban, East Java, will increase the company’s domestic cement capacity by 20 per cent, the Jakarta Globe reports. “We’re projecting production capacity in Tuban of up to 1.7Mta," Holcim’s relationship management director, Rusli Setiawan, said.
