PT Holcim Indonesia seeks US$175m loan

PT Holcim Indonesia is seeking US$175m syndicated loan this year to pay debt and finance working capital, according to finance director Kent Carson. The company's debt maturing in November this year amounts to IDR1.15trn (US$99m), Carson added.

Holcim Indonesia plans to integrate two subsidiaries as part of efforts to improve operational efficiency, the company said in a statement on Friday. The Indonesian division of the cement Swiss major plans to merge units Bintang Polindo Perkasa and Wahana Transtama. Holcim Indonesia has commissioned its new packaging plant and silo in Pontianak, West Kalimantan. Holcim Indonesia Tbk has ordered a LM 56.3+3 from Loesche for its Tuban Line II cement production facility, which is to be a replica of Tuban Line I. The mill will grind clinker, gypsum and limestone at a product rate of 260tph at <3 per cent R45µm. The gearbox will have a capacity of 5200kW. PT Holcim Indonesia reported a decline in sales for the first six months of 2013, having registered a second consecutive quarterly fall. Volumes dropped by 1.3 per cent to 4Mt in the Jan-June 2013 period. Holcim Indonesia sees strong gains in full-year net profit

Holcim Indonesia has reported a 27 per cent jump in 2012 net profit on a strong rise in revenue. Net income for the 12 months to the end of December reached IDR1.35trn (US$139m), the company said in a filing to the Indonesian Stock Exchange on Monday. Revenue rose 20 per cent to IDR9trn. Production costs, however, also increased at a faster rate and were up 23 per cent YoY to IDR5.66trn.
