Chettinad Cement announced that it has received shareholders' approval to delist the company’s shares from the stock exchanges. Indian cement prices have improved through January following a sharp fall in December, the Economic Times of India reports. Pakistan cement exporters have registered almost a 30 per cent YoY rise in cement export volumes in the first six months of the current fiscal. India-based producer Shree Cement reported a 267 per cent rise in net profit to INR2174.4m (US$40.4m) for the third quarter of FY12-13 compared to INR591.9m in the same period of last year.
