Iran exports hit 6.8Mt in six months

Iran exported over 6.8Mt of cement and clinker during the first six months of the current Iranian calendar year, which began on March 20. Exports grew by 26.4 per cent compared to the same period last year. Exports of cement and clinker amounted to 1.21Mt in the sixth calendar month of Shahrivar, which ended on 21 September. Iranian output rises three per cent in first five months

Total Iranian cement production reached 30.5Mt in the first five months of the Iranian year (beginning 21 March 2012), a rise of three per cent compared compared to 29.6Mt produced in the same period of last year. Clinker production totalled 29.9Mt in the period  against 27.79Mt in Iranian year 2011. Cement and clinker exports for the first five months of this year was 5.6Mt, of which cement accounts for 4.87Mt.

Iran produced 24.44Mt of cement in the first four months of the current Iranian year (20 March - 21 July 2012), IRNA reported. Iran exported 3.34Mt of cement and clinker in the first three months of the current calendar year which began on March 20, the IRNA News Agency has reported. Iran registered an eight per cent YoY rise in cement production last year, which ended on 19 March with volumes reaching 66.4Mt, IRNA news agency reported.  Some 67.6Mt of clinker was producer, up 12 per cent YoY. Iran exported over 9.3Mt of cement in the first 11 months of the year (ends 19 March 2012), representing a 17 per cent YoY rise, IRNA news agency reported.
