Long Son plant to enter second phase of expansion

The Vietnamese Prime Minister has issued guidelines on investment for the expansion of Long Son cement plant, Thanh Hoa, and has agreed to action the second phase with two additional production lines. In 2016 Vietnam's cement industry has added three new production lines, bringing the total capacity to 88Mta, significantly ahead of the country's 59-60Mt cement consumption, and representing an increase of approximately six per cent compared to 2015, reports local media.

Vietnam: Loesche to supply new Long Son Cement plant

Loesche GmbH, Germany, has signed a new contract with Sinoma-NCDRI, China, to supply a new mill to Long Son Company in Vietnam. Long Son is building a new cement plant at Dong Son Bim Son and the equipment is to be delivered in the next 8-9 months. Loesche will supply a type LM 56.4 mill with a performance of 520 t/h. The gearbox of this mill has a power output of 3,600 kW.

Vietnamese deputy prime minister, Hoang Trung Hai, is considering a proposal from the Ministry of Construction to add the Long Son cement project in the central province of Thanh Hoa to the national master plan for the cement industry in the 2011-20 period, with a vision to 2030.
