Birla Group’s Mangalam Cement and Absolute Cement & Polymers have unveiled plans to increase capacity at existing plants in India. Mangalam’s project – the larger of the two – will see its Kota integrated plant upgraded from 6.1Mta to 9Mta. Mangalam Cement gets grinding go-ahead

Mangalam Cement’s board of directors have approved the construction of a new grinding plant in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. The company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange that at a meeting on 9 February 2015, the board gave the green light to a 0.5Mta facility to be set up in Aligarh.

Mangalam Cement, part of the BK Birla Group, has started commercial production at its new cement mill in Adityanagar Morak, District Kota, Rajasthan. Mangalam Cement enhances capacity of Kiln Line 1, India

Mangalam Cement has resumed operations of Kiln Line 1 which has been undergoing a renovation project to expand capacity. The company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange that the clinker line, which had been halted for upgrades on 6 May 2013, recommenced operations on 16 September 2013. The overall clinker manufacturing capacity has now been enhanced from 1.71Mt to 2.21Mt. The company has also started trial runs of a new 1.25Mta grinding unit.

Mangalam Cement has halted operations of its Kiln Line 1 to upgrade its clinker manufacturing capacity, the company has informed the Bombay Stock Exchange. India-based producer Mangalam Cement, part of the BK Birla group, will complete its capacity expansion projects this year. The company is increasing clinker capacity from 1.5Mta to 2.2Mta and is also setting up a 1.25Mta grinding works at its existing plat at Morak, Rajasthan. Mangalam Cement grinding plant project order, India

For its new cement grinding plant, Mangalam Cement Ltd. selected a grinding system from ThyssenKrupp Polysius.   The new grinding plant is to be installed in Aligarh near New Delhi in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is to be a combi-grinding system consisting of POLYCOM high-pressure grinding roll with two 1060kW drive units, a SEPOL-PC high-efficiency separator and a 3.6m x 8m ball mill with a drive power of 1300kW. The grinding plant will have a rated cement output of 150tph.
