Mangalam Cement commissions WHR unit

India's Mangalam Cement has commissioned new waste heat recovery capacity at its plant in Morak, Rajasthan. The company has initially put 5.15MW into operation. A further 5.85MW is expected to be commissioned during the current quarter (4QFY19-20).

Mangalam Cement posts record quarterly profit

India’s Mangalam Cement has reported a record net profit of INR330m (US$4.66m) for the quarter ending 30 June, following an INR150m net loss in the year-ago period. Operational revenue surged 31 per cent YoY to INR3.33bn from INR2.55bn, while the EBITDA margin improved to 20.4 per cent from 1.9 per cent.

Mangalam Cement records 22% income increase

India-based Mangalam Cement Ltd has announced a 22.4 per cent YoY increase in total income to INR2.91bn (US$40.3m) for the 2QFY18-19, rising from INR2.38bn. Net profit advanced 191.8 per cent to INR31.25m from INR10.71m in the year-ago period. In the six-month period ended 30 September, total income was up 3.2 per cent YoY at INR5.5bn. However, the company also recorded a net loss of INR121m in the 1HFY18-19.

Mangalam Cement reports net loss of INR153.2m

India-based cement producer Mangalam Cement has reported a standalone net loss of INR153.2m for the quarter ended June 2018, compared with a net profit of INR121.1m in the quarter ended June 2017. Sales edged up one per cent to INR2.541bn in the 1QFY18-19 when compared with sales of INR2.516bn in the year-ago period.

Mangalam Cement records 8% sales increase in FY18

India’s Mangalam Cement Ltd has reported a one per cent YoY increase in net sales for the quarter ending 31 March 2018, rising to INR3.102bn (US$45.76m) from INR3.072bn. Net profit advanced 29.7 per cent to INR45m, compared with INR34.7m of the year-ago period. In the FY18, the company’s net sales surged 7.9 per cent YoY to INR11.49bn (FY17: INR10.66m). However, net profit saw a significant fall of 68.9 per cent to INR113.8m (FY17: INR360.6m).

Mangalam records 8% revenue increase

India-based Mangalam Cement has submitted its results for the quarter ending December 2017, which feature a 46 per cent YoY decrease in net profit to INR27m (US$420,126) from INR58.5m. However, revenue has increased eight per cent to INR2.92bn from INR2.7bn of the year-ago period. The company has also received approval to construct a 11MW waste heat recovery unit at its plant in Morak, Rajasthan, according to Reuters.

India-based Mangalam Cement reported a standalone net profit of INR10.7m (US$163,424) for the quarter ended 30 September 2017, representing a 77 per cent decrease when compared with 2QFY16, when net profit reached INR47.2m. India: Mangalam Cement production increase

Following a trial run at the plant in August 2016, Mangalam Cement’s new 0.75Mta grinding unit in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, has commenced operations. The expansion project that introduced the plant's new grinding unit is said to have cost INR700m (US$10.4m) The company’s overall capacity now stands at 4Mta, up from 3.25Mta.

India: Mangalam Cement returns to profit with 1QFY16-17 results

Mangalam Cement, part of India’s Birla Group, has published its business results for the first quarter of FY16-17. These see the company return to profit after reporting a loss of INR205m (US$3m) in FY15-16. In the three months to June 2016, Mangalam Cement made a profit of INR226m (US$3.4m) as compared to an INR205m (US$2.8m) loss in the same period last year. Total revenues were up by 5.5 per cent to INR2.25bn (US$33.7m), while expenses were down by 17 per cent to INR1.86bn (US$27.9m).
