FLSmidth to supply cement production line in Qatar

FLSmidth has received an order worth DKK 515m for Qatari cement producer Al Khalij Cement covering supply of a complete cement production line for the customer's plant in Umm Bab, approximately 100km east of Doha.  The production line will be a duplicate of the existing line, which was supplied by FLSmidth in 2007. Letter of Intent signed for new Qatari plant

FLSmidth has confirmed that it has signed a Letter of Intent with Qatar National Cement for a cement plant, following reports in the Qatari media. The Danish equipment supplier said in a statement if and when the contract is finalised and becomes binding, it will immediately inform the market.   The project is for a new cement plant in Qatar.

CNBM signs contract with Gulf Cement Co for 5800tpd line

CNBM International Engineering Co Ltd signed the general contract with the Gulf Cement Company for a 5800tpd line in Qatar. Mr Faisal, president of Gulf Cement Company, said the decision to select CNBM was based on the Chinese equipment supplier’s quality and pace of construction of CNBM. Since entering the international cement equipment market in 2005, CNBM has completed a dozen general construction contracts in the Middle East, Central Asia, the Americas and other areas.

FLSmidth confirms Qatari project talks, contract to be finalised

Following reports in Qatari media stating that FLSmidth has entered into an agreement with Qatari Investors Group for supply of equipment and machinery for a cement plant in Qatar, the Danish equipment supplier has confirmed negotiations are currently taking place. However, in a statement released yesterday, FLSmidth said that the order is yet to be confirmed:  "If and when a contract is finalised and becomes binding, we shall immediately inform the market," the release said.

Nasser Bin Khaled (NBK) Automobiles has signed an order with Khalid Cement Industries Complex (KCIC) of Qatar for the supply of 141 Mercedes-Benz branded industrial vehicles. Qatar National Cement (QNCC) reported a seven per cent decline in 2012 net profit on the back of lower revenues and higher costs.
