Total shipments of Portland and blended cement in the United States and Puerto Rico in January were 4.9Mt, up slightly from the January 2013 level, USGS data released today shows. US cement shipments rise 4% YoY in 2013

Total shipments of Portland and blended cement in the United States and Puerto Rico during 2013 reached 82Mt, up four per cent year on YoY, the latest data from the US Geological Survey has confirmed. Titan reported a four per cent improvement in turnover for last year to EUR1175.9m, having risen by 3.6 per cent in 2012. The US proved to be a particularly bright spot in 2013 for the company, while the rate of decline in its domestic market of Greece eased. Full-year EBITDA edged ahead by 0.1 per cent to EUR196.0m.
