Iran exports 7.1Mt of cement in 7FY17-18

Iran has exported cement to the value US$233m in the first seven months of the current financial year (started 20 March 2017). In terms of volumes, 7.1Mt of cement were exported to some 34 countries during this period. Iraq bans white cement imports from Iran

Iraq has placed a ban on imports of Iranian white cement from the Shalamcheh and Chazabeh borders, Sadeq Sava'edi, the deputy head of Khuzestan's Cement Exporters Union said on Tuesday. Cementir Holding increased turnover in 2012 by 6.4 per cent to €976.2m and the EBITDA was ahead by 11.2 per cent to €138.1m as the margin improved from 13.3 per cent to 14.1 per cent. Depreciation and impairment provisions were 2.2 per cent higher at €89.9m, giving a trading profit advance of 33.2 per cent to €48.2m.
