Shree Vinayak plans new grinding unit

Shree Vinayak Cement Company, a subsidiary of Sandhu Group, is planning to expand its cement grinding unit located at Amjhore village, in the district of Dhanbad, Jharkhand state, India. Environmental permission has been granted for the expansion project, which will cost INR75m to complete.

Ambuja Cement selects Polysius grinding technology

Ambuja Cement Ltd of India has selected ThyssenKrupp Polysius as the supplier of grinding equipment for their Sankrail plant. A POLYCOM high-pressure grinding roll and a SEPOL-PC separator will be combined with an existing ball mill to form a combi grinding system for a cement production rate of 230tph. Ambuja Cement is 50.3 per cent-owned by the Holcim Group.

Schwenk invests EUR20m in grinding unit

Germany’s Schwenk Zement will invest EUR20m in a new grinding plant, which is slated to work more efficiently, with lower energy requirement and reduced noise levels. Part of the equipment at the Allmending works is 30-40 years old, said works manager Jürgen Thormann, including a tube ball mill. As a result, the company will invest in a new unit – a roller mill. It is expected that work on the foundations will start this year, with the new mill entering operation in 2014.

New order for Gebr Pfeiffer in Malaysia

Gebr Pfeiffer SE has been awarded the contract by KHD to supply the vertical roller mills for grinding cement raw material and coal for Straits Cement new 5000tpd plant in Malaysia. The Gebr Pfeiffer MPS 4750 B raw mill is to have a design capacity of 300tph of cement raw material ground to a product fineness of 12 % R90µm. The coal mill of the type MPS 2800 BK will be capable of grinding 35tph of coal. Straits Cement is a subsidiary of Malaysian YTL Group.

Gebr Pfeiffer has been awarded the contract to supply a MPS 3070 BC vertical roller for grinding 46tph of blast-furnace slag for the Odra works situated in Opole, Poland. Vietnam-based producer Thang Long Cement JSC plans to double monthly cement exports to Cambodia from its Hiep Phuoc grinding plant to 10,000 due to increased demand in the neighbouring market.
