Buzzi Unicem reports consolidated net sales at EUR3996m in FY22, up 16 per cent from EUR3446m in FY2021, also on LfL basis a rise of 9.6 per cent. Italian cement production fell by 10 per cent YoY in November 2022, according to the country’s construction chamber, Federbeton. When compared with the 2015 base index production the value declined from 102 in October to 85 in November. Cementir Holding NV  has announced that Roberto Marazza will be appointed group chief financial officer with effect from 15 March 2023. Mr Marazza graduated from Genoa University before starting his career at IBM as accounting manager. Subsequent roles include CFO for fuel and energy, and renewable energy companies such as Total ERG and Italiana Petroli (API Group).

Buzzi Unicem reported consolidated net sales in the 9M22 of EUR3004m, up 18.2 per cent compared to EUR2542m in 9M21. Cement and clinker sales of the group, in the first nine months of 2022, reached 21.9Mt, down 6.2 per cent compared to the previous year. Italy saw cement output decline by eight per cent YoY in August 2022, according to the country’s construction chamber, Federbeton. When compared with the 2015 base index production the value dropped from 100 in July 2022 to 61 in August.
