Italian cement production fell by five per cent YoY in October 2022, according to the country’s construction chamber, Federbeton. When compared with the 2015 base index production the value increased from 96 in August to 102 per cent in October. Buzzi Unicem reported consolidated net sales in the 9M22 of EUR3004m, up 18.2 per cent compared to EUR2542m in 9M21. Cement and clinker sales of the group, in the first nine months of 2022, reached 21.9Mt, down 6.2 per cent compared to the previous year. Italy saw cement output decline by eight per cent YoY in August 2022, according to the country’s construction chamber, Federbeton. When compared with the 2015 base index production the value dropped from 100 in July 2022 to 61 in August. Cement production in Italy fell by 13 per cent YoY in July 2021, according to the country’s construction chamber, Federbeton. When compared with the 2015 base index production the value increased from 94 in June 2022 to 100 in July.
