Buzzi Unicem records strong growth in Italy in 2021

Buzzi Unicem has announced its consolidated financial results of 2021 which saw cement and clinker sales rise by 6.7 per cent to 31.2Mt from 29.25Mt in 2020. Cement output index in Italy sees 31% advance in 12M21

Cement production in Italy in December 2021 saw a one per cent drop when compared with the index with a 2015 base, an improvement when compared with the November 2021when the fall was six per cent, according to Federbeton, Italy’s concrete association. Cement sales of the Buzzi Unicem group amounted to 31.2Mt in 2021, increasing by 6.7 per cent when compared to 2020. Cementir records 11.2Mt of cement and clinker sales in 2021

During 2021, Cementir’s   cement and clinker sales volumes reached 11.2Mt, up 4.1 per cent compared to 2020 thanks to a favourable trend in all countries.   Sales volumes of ready-mixed concrete, equal to 5.1Mm 3 , increased by 14.8 per cent mainly due to Turkey and, to a lesser extent, Denmark and Norway.  In the aggregates segment, sales volumes reached 11.1Mt, up 8.1 per cent.   Group revenue set the historical record of EUR1360m, up 11 per cent compared to EUR1224.8m in 2020....

Italy's production index gains 11% in 11M21

Cement production in Italy increased by eight per cent in October 2021 but slipped six per cent in November when compared with the base year of 2015, according to Federbeton, Italy’s concrete association. Italian oil major Eni is collaborating with Holcim to develop an innovative technology for the use of CO 2 in a perspective of circularity and decarbonisation. Cementir has released its results for the first nine months and the 3Q21. Group revenue reached EUR1bn, up 12.4 per cent compared to EUR896.8m in the first nine months of 2020. Buzzi Unicem SpA has reported a 7.5 per cent rise in cement sales volumes in the first nine months of 2021, increasing to 23.36Mt from 21.72Mt.
