Jindal Steel and Power (JSP) plans to establish a 2Mta cement plant near its Angul steel plant in Odisha, India. The company has already purchased the land for the plant, which will be established in an industrial park. JSP is now awaiting for the government to hand over the use of the land. The Adamawa Government in Nigeria has signed an agreement with Dangote Group and three foreign firms to establish cement factories in the state. Cem‘In’EU Group inaugurated its first modular grinding plant at Aliénor Ciments yesterday in Tonneins, 100km southeast of Bordeaux, France. Eurocement Group has started the construction of its new 3Mta facility in Uzbekistan. Lafarge Africa has recorded a five per cent increase in net sales for the 3Q18 period, rising to NGN72bn (US$198.3m) from NGN68.8bn. In the 9M18, net sales again advanced five per cent to NGN234bn. India’s Tamil Nadu Cements Corp Ltd has completed the erection of a 1Mta plant in Ariyalur, with 95 per cent of the total work now completed. Loesche has received an order from Sinoma (Suzhou) Construction Co Ltd to supply three VRMs for China’s Lubao Cement Co.
