Lipetskcement produces 0.684Mt of cement

Lipetskcement, part of the Eurocement Group, produced 684,000t of cement in 2017, representing a rise of 6.8 per cent YoY, and 600,000t of clinker, a YoY increase of 16.1 per cent. Voronezh Cement increases dispatches by 5%

Eurocement-owned Voronezh Cement saw a five per cent YoY advance in its shipments to customers in 2017. Dispatches rose to 1.8Mt by the end of the year. The company increased its cement output by five per cent to 1.808Mt while its clinker production rose by 10 per cent to 1.717Mt when compared with the company’s production figures in 2016.

Nevjansky Tsementnik increases output in 2017

Nevyansky Tsementnik, part of Eurocement, produced 823,339t of clinker and 1Mt of cement in 2017. This represents an increase by seven and 15 per cent, respectively, when compared with 2016. Production and shipment of cement at the plant reached an all-time high in July 2017. Output increased to 121,682t while deliveries were up to 127,284t.

Jidong Cement awards Mechel coal contract

Chinese cement producer Jidong Cement has awarded a 3Mt coal supply contract to Russian mining company Mechel. "Over the year Mechel will supply up to 3Mt of steam coal mined at LLC Elgaugol's Elga Open Pit Mine and JSC Yakutugol's Neryungrinsky Open Pit Mine,” said the Russian mining company in a statement. Lipetskcement brings new logistics facility online

Lipetskcement, part of the Eurocement Group, has launched a new RUB600m (US$10.4m) production and logistics facility for packing, palletising and shipping of cement. The investment enables Lipetskcement to ship up to 10,000tpd of cement. The company has increased its loading rate of bulk cement trucks by more than five times. In the packing section, the bagging rate has more than doubled to 2400bags/h.

Eurocement Group to invest in Kaliningrad plant

New international standard in Russia

Russia has introduced Interstate standard GOST 31108-2016 “Cements Technical Specification,” as a national standard of the Russian Federation (RF), effective 1 March 2017. The technical characteristics requirements of the new standard are broadly similar to the EU’s EN 197-1: 2011 standard, except that GOST has 23 sub-types compared to the EN 197’s 39 sub-types.
