Property tax protest nets Holcim US$1.5m, USA

Three years’ worth of property tax protests paid off for Holcim’s cement plant in Pueblo, Colorado.

The state Board of Assessment Appeals recently awarded the Penrose plant a US$1.5m refund.

The refund will be paid by the five taxing entities which get revenue from Holcim’s property tax payments, Fremont County Commissioner Ed Norden said.
