Pakistan prices rise on higher input costs

Pakistan cement prices in the north region of the country have increased by PKR20/bag to PKR370/bag, industry sources said Wednesday.

This rise in prices is due to increase in SED (Special Excise Duty) from one per cent to 2.5 per cent—and partly due to higher input cost. This has endorsed the view that cement manufacturers will continue to pass on the higher input prices in 2H.
