Australian materials producer Penrice Soda Holdings Ltd says a new multi-million dollar limestone supply contract with the cement division of Adelaide Brighton will boost its earnings. The contract extends supply arrangements between Penrice and Adelaide Brighton until the end of 2014, Penrice said in a statement on Monday.

"The new contract is expected to generate increased earnings for Penrice and is also expected to exceed the company’s minimum return on net assets benchmark rate of 15 per cent," Penrice chief executive Guy Roberts said.

Mr Roberts said the contract would help Penrice to recover recent costs for investment in equipment and measures to reduce the environmental impacts of its Angaston limestone mine north of Adelaide.
