Ste. Genevieve County plant opent
Holcim opened the nation’s largest cement plant on Monday in Ste. Genevieve County, Mo.
The US$1bn plant resulted in more than 2,500 construction jobs and currently employs 250 people.
The plant is located 55 miles south of St. Louis along the Mississippi River.
The plant is among the world’s largest with the ability to produce more than 12,000tpd of clinker and 4Mta of cement each year.
